LY Crown Button

Anyone know what this is? Its a hollow copper button with a crown on it, and under the crown is the letters LY. Couldnt get a clear pic, too worn

One possibility might be the Leicestershire Yeomanry (British Army regiment) button, which has a crown with the letters "LY" in Old English beneath; the letters are encircled by a belt-like "garter" with the words "Prince Albert's Own."
