M-6 went to school and got a "A"

Took one of my M-6s to the k-2 school next door.. Playing with the 6x10DD coil and I found plenty of clad and a few wheaties.. At the edge of the swings it locked on a half dollar, and there at 4" was my first Kennedy..Cool not the usual clad.. As I continued to detect I found a lipstick case, and a toy car.. Good day I thought as I was about done..Must of been, as I was leaving I got a "A" of thin brass or copper.. ;D
The coins in the middle were stacked on top of each other 2" down!!

Nice batch of coins there Cosmic. Grats on the half too. In your opinion, is the 6X10 better than the stock coil?

Wow Greg, you would think with all the coins you would get a few.. That is my 5th one this year..4 with the M-6, a Walking, 2 Bens, and this Kennedy..
Prober, I do like the 6x10 in trash, but the 9.5 is better in depth and vdi... The DD cover a good area but the depth reading is off and it is fooled by trash more often than the stock.. It pinpoint at the ears of the coil and i usually hit it with one or two probes..I have a 4x6 that still hasn't hit the dirt yet...
Bootybay, stick with it!! Here's something to try.. If you run a area with 0 disc and all you get is trash and iron signals don't be afraid to turn up the discrimination.. You won't lose any depth to speak of and the M-6 will unmask some good signals.. Today I ran with the discrimination at one just to accept nickles.. Pulled all the wheats at a measured 6".. When I run the stock 9.5 I run 0 discrimination, sensitivity cranked up then backed off until it quiet in the air, ground balanced then locked..
Thanks,
Ray
