Ive been hearing people find old coins through some kind of coin machine and they say you can look through the rejected part of that machine for coins that were to odd or something to go through. Can anyone enlighten me on how these things work

Machines like coinstar- usuallly in grocery stores and such- people take their lose change in and get either dollar bills or gift cards for them- they have reject shoots that people don't often check
Also there are coin machines in banks where people can dump their change and there also you can look for change forgotten or backed ip inthe reject shoot

Yeah I think you mean the reject slot. My credit union has a machine and when I dump my coins so far only gotten like 6 cents in change that someone didn't check. Only got into dumping there recently so hopefully one of these days there is something good in there. I still haven't gotten up the nerve to randomly check coinstar machines at the store. I feel weird lol. It's like the guy who checks for change in a payphone.

That's what I have my kids trained to do- actually my daughter started checking in soda and candy bar machines a long time ago eve before I started crh and she always gets lots of change in those(no ag though)- so now I have her check the coinstar as well- nothing from them as of yet

Yes only vagrants check machines for change, normal people doing it look like total losers.

I'd rather look like a loser than miss out on silver and be a loser.

I have always checked the pay phones and vending machines for change and have always had luck with it! even found silver sometimes!

Sometimes people don't take the reject coins from coinstar bins. Some banks have coin counters that reject non-traditional coins. I have not found anything but two casino chips from coinstars.
