I fulfilled a personal detecting goal today. I'd wanted to dig 1,000 coins for the year. I'm up to 1,019 as of today.

I've got no idea if that is a lot of coins for most of you but it is a record for me!

Congrats.Its a whole lot for me.But getting there.Not near that yet.HH.

I always set my own personal goals when detecting. When I'm coin shooting at a park, I'll set goals like "stay until I get xx amount of quarters or a certain dollar amount of change". Sometimes I'm there well until after dark, but I always make my goals. Its that extra bit of challenge that makes the hobby interesting.

I have a goal at my new house. Dig EVERY target until I find a silver coin. So Far I have cleaned out some small areas and pulled a lot of deep pennies and clad out, but have only found one 1918 wheat penny. This is going to be a long fall!

You still have plenty of time to hit 1,500 coins by the end of the year 8-)
