Hi all. Took my new detector out for a test drive at a local park today in preparation for a hunt tomorrow with Cjon455. I had to get a little practice in with it before he kicks my butt again. Lots of clad, a few beaver tails that fooled the F75 into thinking they might be nickels. The identifying feature of this machine really impresses me. I was hunting in Disc mode, " de " process and 3H tones. I was very happy to get silver on my first outing with it. Hopefully that is saying there is lots more to come. It was funny that I dug a small rusty horseshoe in the park too. Tylerbdad told me to sit on it quickly, because he swears Vino and Cjon both carry a lucky charm around with them, lol. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on scoring some silver. That's a nice piece! First time out too. Very well done.

I will pray extra hard tonight for you to have a good day tomorrow. Please, if you never do anything else, please pound the snot out of CJON tomorrow. You know he deserves it... now make it happen!

Best of luck to you my brother.

Dave I'm pumped that the F75 rewarded you with silver right out the gate! , I think this is gonna be a great turning point for ya! And pay no attention to the tom, he has run out of ointment from his last hunt in philly lol!!!

That medallion cleaned up real nice!

Man OD that cleaned up real nice. Glad you scored silver with your new machine. I usually don't agree with CT but I too am pulling for you to kick Chris down a peg or two. If all else fails pull out the horseshoe. Lol

im honored to have such great friends lol!!

Nice silver OD.

Glad to see you over on the Fisher side. I swing the F75's cousin (F70)

Love it. Took some getting used to, but I have a lot of confidence in this machine.

I use a 10x12 SEF Butterfly coil. Mega-deep, and still works pretty well in trash.

Give 'em hell tomorrow.

Great looking Silver!!

First trip out with the new machine, that's definitely a good sign of things to come. Good Luck tomorrow!!

In the cleaned pic, it almost looked like it was plated near Mary's feet on the bottom of the cross. Holding it in my hand, it even appeared that way to me! Once I inspected it through a loupe though, I can see it is just an odd absence of patina.

Old Dude,

Good score on the silver medallion.....the 1830 date was when a miracle happened with the saint in question.

cmon now......
OD said he's gonna text me his every find minutes after they happen. I'm deleting space so I can get All the pics.I'm gonna buy a machine so I can find stuff now.

Nice find OldDude! Would like to know what detector you upgrade from and anxious to hear reports on your f75. Been thinking about upgrading myself but have no idea which machine would be the best to replace my atpro. Looking forward to seeing how you like it. Congrats again on your find!

Thanks Darby. I was using the ATPro before this one myself. The F75 has had the reputation of being a premier machine for relics for years now, but it impressed me today ( my first time using it ) with coins. It correctly ID'ed them almost every time, and using the multiple tones, you will know it's a good signal. My ATP usually left me wondering with the sound if it was a nickel, but even they give a nice tone on the F75. I used 2 Garrett's before buying this one, and I thought seriously about getting the ATX, but it didn't get good reviews in iron, so I went with the Fisher. I might have tried a Deus or a Minelab, but I wanted to buy from an American company.

Congrats on pulling that nice keeper on your 1st hunt. :occasion14: The only thing that I notice with mine is that the depth indicator is not always accurate. Most of my finds are shallower than the detector ID's if they are between 2 and 5 inched deep.. I have read alot of good about the CTX and the Dues, but I am more than please with my F75 LTD SE (upgraded). I plan on swinging this detector for a long while. Did you need to change the frequency? There are many sites that I had to change the Freq. Took me some time in watching videos to figure out how to do it.

I normally run in either PF or DE mode, run the sensitivity up until it begins to false on ruts and then I dial it back a bit. I run Disc between 19 & 25 unless I am looking for relics. I will put it in BP mode if I get an iffy signal so I can better ID the target. I also hunt some sites in BP after I have covered the lot in 2 directions in DE or PF if I found many deep coins and other objects.
