Making a trip to Jacksonville, NC at the end of September, any hunters?

I will be going to visit a friend in Jacksonville, NC, at the end of the month. We will be leaving on the 27th and then coming back home on the 2nd I believe.

I would LOVE to do some beach hunting and would appreciate a local to show me the ropes of the area. I use a Minelab Excalibur 1000 for the water and a Minelab Explorer XS for land.

most of us nc beach hunters around wilmington are at detectorx.com check it out. we hunt the beaches every weekend,would be happy to hookup for a hunt. we have other out of towner's coming in that weekend it would be great.

I see your busy busy busy. Beach hunting in NC end of the month. Then off to Missouri next month for the civil war encampment hunt.

I plan on leaving for the encampment hunt on the 12'th in the evening.

Are there any good places to hunt over there in Columbus? I may be in the area on the 20th and 21st of the month for an auction a little south of there.
