Had a great day with a good friend yesterday.
The scenery was great I saw several whitetail deer just getting to our spot.
I wanted to share a couple photos.
... I also found one shark tooth that I'm having a problem identifying.
It has several similarities to a Megalodon tooth except for the size could this be prenatal Meg?

I don't keep a lot of turtle shell and other pieces but when I find a nice legs spur I keep them... This one's in great shape.
I also do not usually keep dugong rib sections there is a lot of them around.. I kept this one because of how large it is that was a pretty big sea cow.

If you are referring to the first tooth then no. It looks like a carcharhinus sp tooth

Think Ninja is right. AKA Dusky. Had to look up the scientific name.

Thanks... I find many Dusky teeth.. For some reason this one seemed different to me I will have to compare them again.

Wow Gator, that's an amazing day! Is that unusually good or is that the norm for you? Congrats.

1st set of pics bottom right. That tooth looks nice what type is it?

I've definitely had worse days in the same general area... This was... I would say better than average.
This past rainy season has changed the area quite a bit... I'm just getting zoned in now on this new section I have a feeling my next hunt will be even better.
You can really pay your dues here its not that uncommon to leave with not much more than small shark teeth

I believe you're referring to that Mako tooth

Funny thing about that one I found it not more than 5 minutes after getting to the spot.
I eyeballed that one.. Just the tiniest bit of the tip sticking out of the bank I used water and my finger to work the material away from around it hoping it would be whole the whole time.
I even brought my buddy over for the final little bit when I pulled it out it reminded me alot of an artifact dig.

I always have visions of stuff like this on the bank..
This is actually very close to where I was

Thanks rock.. I had a blast.

Wow,those are really nice looking.

I love them all... but those illusive large shark teeth are a real prize.. sometimes you really pay your dues...other times luck is on your side.
