Why are you getting a high tone pitch on low conductor items like a gold ring or a nickel? Been a while since I swung the etrac, but nickels by themselves were like 12-13, so a far cry from a high tone. Is the machine somehow picking up the non ferrous target, but reporting a high tone false for the nails?

I have showed Etrac 2 ways.
Multi Conducitve.
4 tone ferrous.

Multi conductive
Sweeping down nail barrel direction both high and low conductors yield high tone. Why? They are reporting 48/49/50 conductive in window.
4 Tone ferrous.
Both high and low conductors sweeping down nail barrel direction yield low tone. Why? Because they are reporting 34/35 ferrous.
I like the 4 tone ferrous better.

I guess my question should be asked in a different manner. Regardless of whether the etrac is set in multi conductive or four tone ferrous, the actual target itself is a low to mid conductor. Why would it be audibly reporting high? Its almost as if the machine is giving off a high conductor false on the iron nail. But you show that the machine is not falsing on the nail when you remove the non ferrous target and sweep just the nail, and get no tone at all. So why is it reporting a high tone once the non ferrous target is added to the scenario? If any sound should be coming off, it should be a mid tone (on the nickel or gold ring) which would be the correct tone for such a target. What is causing them to report as 48/49/50 conductive?

It is giving high tone because I have ferrous lines 34/35 conductive segments 48,49 snd 50 open.

Yep, I undertsand your higher conductive segments are opened up on levels 34/35. But it (a nickel) is a low tone target and never falls into that range by itself, either 34/35 or 48, 49, 50. Regardless of what segments are open, it should never report as a high tone unless there is something I am missing on how a low tone conductor can suddenly report as high tone? I cant recall that scenario happening when I used the etrac, but it has been 5 or 6 years since I used it steadily.
What is causing the cross over to go from the low tone it should report at to now becoming a high tone? Its like it is taking the place of an iron false and reporting as a high conductor. Ive never had a nickel report as a high tone, unless there was a high tone target like a dime or quarter also mixed in the hole, which would account for the high tone. Here, there is nothing to account for a high tone as you show the nails by themselves null out. So it is like the nickel is taking the place of a falsing nail and reporting high. What could cause that to incorrectly report as high tone? Is the machine sensing a on ferrous target it should report on and for some reason thinking it should report, but also sensing an iron false and somehow jumbling the need to report a non ferrous target, and instead coming out with a falsing tone? True, it depends whether its in 4 tone ferrous, or multi as to whether it reports high or low. But why is it reporting at all? And why in a range where it should not report from? Do a nickel by itself, it reports low tone in either multi or ferrous tone reporting. So what causes it to signal out of its proper context (low tone) and report as a high tone when set to multi conductive sounds? Thats what Im trying to figure out. Its like a glitch and the combination of a reportable non ferrous target, combined with a high tone signal maker (falsing on a nail) is somehow combining to create a high tone signal in multi conductive. When in fact, it "should" be a null/no report masking situation, just like the D2 and Manticore are doing. So what makes the etrac even give off a signal? Its like its confusing the need to report a non ferrous target, with the signal a nail false would be. (ok, its nt a nail flase, but what is it then that causes it to sound off as a high tone?) Why does it not "properly" report it in the right category - as a low tone? Its an interesting anomaly you have found and I'm wondering what is tricking the etrac into signaling as it does - a high tone on a low tone target (when set to multi tones).

Id one looks at a Deus 2. It behaves similarly using multi freq.
I can set up a Deus 2 to behave like Etrac.
But.
Here’s the difference.
Deus 2 when I set it up it allows Deus 2 to report on small iron. ID - 01/02.
When I set up Etrac. It won’t sound off on solo smaller iron like Deus 2 does. Rather Etrac could sound off on bigger iron like s horshoe.
So. What is there more off in a site smaller iron or bigger iron? I say smaller iron. Hence Etrac here better to do what I am doing either it.
Nokta triple score behaves more like Deus 2. Meaning smaller iron will sound off.
Basically etrac when one sweeps down nail barrel (with say nickel, dime, quarter gold) direction expect to see ID 34/34 condcucrive number 48, or 49 or 50.
Deus 2 expect to see ID 01/02.
Also worth noting nonferrous target using Etrac can be above nails quite a distance even and behave like it does sweeping in the nail barrel direction.
And when Etrac does this can Mantocore with M8 coil detect? Nope.
Can Deus 2 hf2 coil? Yep. Can Deus 2 hf2 2 coil detect in single freq? Yep. Highest single freq band might be required meaning using 111-120 kHz to hear target. I did this just while ago using small Spanish bit. Manticore was a no go,
