Different lighting is usually why.

different angle also, when finding a hot spot I'll check in opposite directions, have found flakes and points I didn't catch the first pass that I do in the opposite direction.

Yes, it's been a very mild winter and I've been able to get out fairly often.

Different light definitely plays a part in what draws your attention. But the biggest thing is being able to hunt in areas where you know there's stuff to find. I'm very lucky and grateful to have one near by.

Thanks, I like your old car profile photo. When I go out hunting, I usually drive my '30 Ford.

those scrapers rule!
i believe the first pretty one is agate but could possibly be petrified wood
and the last two are some very good quality KRF

Thanks, it really unbelievable how many shards there are at this site. I guess I'm kinda spoiled because most of the time I don't pick up those small pieces.
