Found this while prospecting a wash in Western AZ. Its about a mile from the nearest road (a BLM road) and 1/2 a mile from nearest drive-able wash (with side by sides). There was also an old arrasta close to area. and yes there was a small amount of gold in the days samples.

Not sure what it is actually.
But it's man made, good eye for seeing it.

Sure beats the endless natural rock formations that seem to always been posted.

I walked past it 2 days in a row before noticing it. It was a busy day for snakes so was watching the edges.

interesting. nice find. looking at it i would say its a cattle brand.
looks like someone with the initials JP, from 1937.
almost looks like a sun or star in the center panel.
or maybe o.k b.s?
was this from today, it was a bit cooler here at 97 degrees.

we were out this morning and managed to pull a half gram in three small bits.
and only one small snake.

yesterday. A brand sounds plausible to me! My fat dog reminds me about water. LOL I decided the "S" with the arrows at the top means, Beyond here there be Dragons
