pity --- the wife and I saw peter, paul & mary here in jacksonville , fla some time back -- my wife (who is a music teacher) will be saddened to hear the news in the morning --todays music often lacks a "message" - like music of old did.

What a rich peaceful voice. I learned thier songs when I was a child, and they stayed with me. I just bought a bunch of my favorites from itunes and have been listening while i work.

One of the first concerts I ever attended was Peter Paul and Mary. I forgot all about it till I found this thread. It was 1966, I was just out of high school, and before going into the military... Mary was beautiful, and had a beautiful voice.................
