Made in Birmingham England. Can't quite make out the date letter but must be 1892 - 1899.

Where do you see a date letter?I will try and take a better pic. if needed. I thought it was an old lighter that was missing the guts.

Left off 'STERLING' is 3 symbols - A lion, Anchor & a letter? If you can tell me the letter I will give the date.

It looks to me like the letter R in the 1840 section on the hallmark site.I need a magnifying glass to see it.Not sure about the lion. The anchor is obvious.Had no idea it was or could be that old. Thanks HB
