May 2014 Finds - Gold x3 and Silver Jewelry!!

Check out my signature below for past months and some ring returns. I appreciate comments; thanks for looking.

May was a good month. I continue to preach that you have to dig everything in order to find the gold, and always go over your spots multiple times.

Notable Finds for the month:

1943P War Nickel
1942 Merc

1 silver ring with a small turquoise
2 silver St. Christopher Medallions (these are nice and thick, 13g total)
1 silver cross necklace (the clasp/tips are 925, and the cross end weighs 20 grams on it's own)

3 gold rings, all 14k, 14.79 grams total

Check the back of the cross pendant for a tiny candelabra and the initials JA I'm pretty sure you have a James Avery piece there .Nice

Yes, it's a James Avery. I found it at the waters edge of a near by lake and the leather had moss growing out of it. My eyes weren't good enough to see the JA mark when I first found it and I was praying don't let it be pewter! Sure enough when I got home I could see the JA mark. It's a heavy sucker.
