HI pipi I spent 6 with my partner months living off of the jungle looking for lost Mayan ruins. Actually found what appeared to be a small pyramid which was duly reported to the Mexican gov't. This was next to the old Brtish Honduras zone. We hiked in from just north of Acapulco to that area and proceeded to look for any ruins. This would be in the 50's. There were effectivwly no roads then.
