I know it’s not much but I’ll never know if I don’t ask
I Found this within a foot of a northwest trade gun thimble
Thinking it could be a gun part it’s small probably less than an inch

On top of that I found these nearby ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1558828773.719454.webp
Again could be nothing but they do look like they may be part of a trigger guard

Sorry they aren’t super clean the first piece I soaked for a month in acv and I got that far but it’s pretty brittle so I stopped

The others I haven’t tried to clean yet

Top price looks like the hammer from a cap gun, bottom one possibly a flat ******* file

Could be a bridle. (For a flintlock.)
Been so long since I had the lock off my replica , I don't know if mine even has a bridle on the tumbler..
Not sayting this lock is for a trade gun but it shows the bridle good. The silver looking piece.

My first thought: Parts to a lawnmower (or similar) cable-throttle or choke control mechanism.

Sorry forgot to say where I found it. it came out of a wooded area that’s never been anything but part of a pasture for cattle. Cap gun and lawnmower might be strong guesses elswhere but I can say for sure there’s never been a mower there. I can see the part relevantchair is talking about I think it’s a strong possibility

Congrats OTB, Nice find and recovery.

I believe relevantchair has shown us the answer! In his posted photo the piece centrally located behind the hammer is a bridge shaped piece that anchors the tumbler and sear. I believe that is what you have here. Of course it could also be a percussion lock piece serving the same purpose. In that context the other item
is probably a broken patch knife.

Keep swingin!

Yes, probably a big musket lock sear, etc. Good find.
