found this 1936 piece over the weekend and I think it's some kind of code breaker. has crossed keys on it, which may have been a French military item. has 26 numbers and 26 letters. the top piece dials to select different number and letter combinations also. what do you guys think? also found a couple of Wheaties and another silver mercury dime to add to the silver collection! HH!! David:thumbsup:

Great Find.. but don't forget to Drink your Ovaltine!!
I recall David, the neighbor kid, had all those Ovaltine prizes in the 50s...I didn't think it was worth drinking that nasty tasting drink... But if some junky prize could result in Banner, I am for it!:laughing7:

Reminds me of the movie, A Christmas Story when Ralphie is in the bathroom and is decoding the secret message anxiously while his brother is banging on the door to get in...He decodes the message which says, Don't forget to drink your Ovaltine. He looks up with a puzzled look on his face and figures out he has been had.....Then he says, "SOB"...Hilarious!

Is there anything in the secret compartment? May need to take a look! Cool find! I found one from 1936.

there was nothing in the secret compartment..
