Only silver coins were used with the exception of 1 wheat cent.
Very small holes were dug so not to disturb the ground much.
Tape measure was used for accurate depth and the ground was a clay sand mix.
I tried different swing speeds and found that my Fisher worked better fast and the Garrett slower.
