MD test results on planted coins.Post yours also.

Only silver coins were used with the exception of 1 wheat cent.
Very small holes were dug so not to disturb the ground much.
Tape measure was used for accurate depth and the ground was a clay sand mix.
I tried different swing speeds and found that my Fisher worked better fast and the Garrett slower.

Garrett GTX500
.50--6" strong
.25--6"strong
.10--5" strong
.05--3" strong
.01--5" strong

Fisher CZ70 with 8" coil
.50--6" strong
.25--6" strong
.10--6" strong
.05--3" strong
.01--6" strong

Fisher CZ70 with 12" coil
.50--9" strong
.25--8" strong
.10--7" strong
.05--7" strong
.01--7" strong

The next inch down on all test were eather very broken or gone.
Now lets hear your test and and we will see who all want to trade in what they have now for new toys.
And please no air test :P

Not much ground problems here to interfear with the detector.
But I know what your saying. about 5 miles south of my house you had better like iron.
Where I live about 45 miles NE of Austin Tx. it's mostly farm land and lots of sand and soil mix.
So hunting and digging is usually no problem. but there are those clay hills. :P

Come on y'all .
I just knew there would be some takers on the how deep will your detector go test.
But I also had a hard time digging holes to put coins in the ground.It just didn't seem right.
