MDing at Great Grandad's farm...WOW!!!

Hi everybody,

Had an awesome day!

Went down to my Great Granddad's old farm today. No one has ever detected there as far as I know. Short version highlights...17 wheats, the oldest being 1909 (no S, no VDB ). My first silver coin ever, a 1948 quarter. A silver heart pendant with Korea on the back (my second silver heart in two weeks), a Navy pin/button, a buffalo nickel and several other pieces.

We had an awesome time. It's even more special when you have ties to the land. It's cool to think that I could be finding things that my Grandma or even my Dad lost when they were little kids.

My son asked if we could come back every weekend and my wife said she wants a detector for her birthday!
