Medieval finds!!

Went out for a couple of our to a field they jus ploughed, great sunny afternoon.
Had been detected since the tractor left a couple of weeks ago...still very nice coin

My best Phillip IV 16 maravedis!!!

1664 mint of Madrid

Also two very nice two maravedis, a pity half of Enrique IV 1390, its in great shape whats left

and other little coins and a beautiful catholic medal!!

Yes we are blessed with the history amounts! And for us this finds are very nice, but we always look for something at least 1000 years old...

Don't know about Hispan, I guess he is in vacation, in two days is the epiphany so lots of family trips and parties!

Nice coins! Did You had other finds in this field? I never see trash in Your posts. I need a field where only good signals are...

They hardly exist, all my better fields are trashy. Although some Roman sites that fell out of favour after the Roman period have just Lead as junk. But I never worry about that because its a good sign & it recycles well.

Some trash, but not that much, maybe 5 to 1, which I thinks it's very good.

Depends on the field, some roman fields have a 10 to 1, and most of the trash is leAd so it sounds great, but not good target!
next post I will put a field pic with all the trash

Hi Cru Roman lead is a good signal! I was more interested if the fields down there have as much modern trash as ours here. I think it's more german related with all that bullets and casings. Like Your buttons from fertilizing fields with uniforms...

Thanks! My question was not explicit, sorry. I was referring to modern junk, like foil, bottle caps and so. 5 to 1 IS very good! At least when thinking about our average ratio...

I try to hunt the fields with little modern trash, sometimes we find fields with lots of bullets from our civil war. If there is a lot of modern trash it makes the day miserable...
