Meet Audie Murphy

About a month ago after i got rid of the 23 Raccoons This little guy showed up. He was very wild and very very timid . You could not get near him . He would not come out of hiding for any thing. I still fed him moist soft cat food 2 times a day. You could hear him but hardly ever see him. As you can see from the pictures he has become quite friendly. The other day i was watching the movie To Hell and Back. So i decided to name him after one of America's World War Two hero's Audie Murphy. Now he crawls all over me

Well we have had her for about a year and a half. She is now a house cat. Will post a picture her later

Looks like your little gal won the lottery by coming to your property. Do you think she was dumped? How is she doing now?

I don't think she was dumped. w leased a farm for our horses about 4 miles from where we live. One day she appeared there . It took months to even get close to it. We would feed it 2 times a day. After a couple of months it would allow us to touch it. We had rented that farm for 26 years. Every once in a while a stray cat would show up. we always fed what showed up.

Update In august Murf went for a outside walk and never returned. I am sure someone got her and is keeping her

Murf is still gone. We now have Lucy replacing her

Last year Mrs. Audie Murphy went for a walk and never returned. We had her for almost 2 years i think

We have another new one that came to me on Halloween. Her name is Lucy

Very cool my best cat ever was a gray tabby stray that was abandoned as a kitten. My best buddy. She lived to be 21 years old. Absolutely killed me when we had to put her down after her kidneys gave out.

Dang Gare, that mirrors the Tabby I rescued last year, most have that M shaped marking on the forehead. Found him a mile from home, a dog had mangled his leg quite bad. Same thing, very timid. Took him to the vet to get patched up and he recovered in the basement. Different cat now, this evening I turned our dog out to run, the dog came back under the fence, saw the cat and made a beeline for him. The cat, thinking fast, charged toward the dog in pissed off cat mode. The dog did a 180 right quick, now that was funny! Thanks for sharing Gare.
