I have found a fantastic site that you can detect, only drawback is your going to need a fancy water detector to do it.
I have found the site of an old dance hall that was very very large and very very popular back in the 30s~50s. There is nothing left of it except the pilons that it sat on. It is located on the banks of the Pasquotank river.
This very well could end up being someones own little shark pit, if they have the time to hit it! If you live in VA and have the time, this would be a great site for you also!

Just an FYI, I have searched the shore line and found 3 mercs. I only did that for 20 minutes, and was half hearting it at best! (I want to get in the water!)

Respond or PM for directions to site.

Get a long handled scoop and get after it. Your machine more than likely has a waterproof coil (check with manufacture or on here first). Just make sure you don't get the control box wet.

If I lived anywhere near there I would go for it.
