I got in about 30 minutes after work and hit a pounded park just to get my shovel dirty. Found a few wheats 1941, 1955, 1954. Found one more wheat and rescanned afterward, and hit a nice 83-84 on the T2 about 3" away from the wheat (and the same depth of 5"). I knew I had something good and out popped a 1943 mercury.

Short and sweet, no more no less, but silv is always nice and I'm thankful for the find.

Happy Hunting!

The ground was just starting to freeze today. Not much left of the season here in the northeast.

Nice finds, both the coins and the site, now you have a good go to site for old silver.

Nice silver Merc! Congrats!
Sure beats what I'm finding lately.

Nice Merc. For me, any hunt where a silver coin turns up, is a good hunt. Congrats on braving the elements. GL&HH!
