I, too, would like to give something away and have therefore uploaded a copy of a treasure map . This card was drawn by an eyewitness of the sinking, on the back of a photograph.

That is SO beautiful!

My wife and I just returned from the "Douglas Beach" wreck site. It's just down the road from us about 3 1/2 miles.

I'm always in awe of the Ocean and this beach spot just adds something even more to it. On the surface one would never know the history of that little beach area and (pun intended) below the surface one would be amazed at what lies yet undiscovered!!

I hope you all enjoy whatever it is you do !!

Thats blackwater sound, across U-S-1 from my neighborhood. I also know the douglas beach well. I graduated in 1988 from vero beach high. Used to live right by tracking station beach. I spent some time at douglas this summer. Couple days after I was there dan found his coins. I searched a spot to the south where I know someone found coins years ago. I found a modern silver and turquoise ring.. seems like there hasnt been a good northeaster in years. Maybe santa will bring an erosion event.

May the joy of Christmas be with you throughout the coming year and may we all carry forth the faith and commitment to make it a better year ahead.
I would ask that those who are so inclined to pray for our friends affected by the 2017 hurricanes and to go visit the Florida Keys, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and the US and British Virgin Islands. While the amenities may not be what they once were (and will be again) the ocean is still the same and the crowds are a lot smaller. Spend your money where it's needed so it directly benefits those who need it. Shop local, be patient, think about how lucky you are that it wasn't your home that got beaten up like that and tip a little extra, they'll love you for it.
2018 is going to be AWESOME!
This year wasn't the best and ended with something of a disappointing revelation, but it was a long way from the worst.
We've got a lot of things going on with the 1715 Fleet salvage as well as a couple of other projects "here and there and way over there" so it looks like it is going to be a busy year. We hope to have everyone back on the crew next year and we may even have some room for some new ones...
