You can talk about metal detecting on T Net but not politics...thats one difference.

Metal detecting- no hot tempers, no stress, just some people having fun.

politicians are 90% low down rotten thieves, while metal detectorists are 95% honest, nice people.

At least that's been my experience.

So in your honest opinion how is politics different than metal detecting.

One is within the rules here and one is against the rules here....

If a restaurant has a sign that says "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" why can't my friends and I just go in sit down and demand to eat anyway? After all its a free country........

Well everyone already knows its against the rules here treasure hunter. They agreed to the rules. But this is not a big spill on politic just simply the differences to other people and how they look at both.

Hard to tell sometimes, just had one last night....My apologies then sir....

Yea I noticed that one. Geez do you ever sleep;)

Metal detecting is fun? At least I think so.

Why talk about the other topic? I could ask how they are even remotely alike?

Find anything good lately? I'm up 20 cents .....

Yep I sleep.... I have always spent a lit of time on TN...

As long as thread doesn't turn into discussion about our rules on politics..

One does in fact affect and effect the other.Let it be known that you find anything substantial, guess who is going to be knocking on your door besides your relatives.Who makes the laws regarding where you can metal detect and if you can metal detect.

Besides rules where hunting allowed the only politics of interest to me detecting are those of era recoveries are from,as well as way of life, value of object at time of loss ect. Current events are like clad.

The reason they can "boot" ya is they can for any reason except those that are racist, religious, or disabled. I'd like to see if they would refuse service to some HOT babe that walked in wearing ONLY shoes and shirt! TTC

Right off the top of my head:

Turn your machine on and it usually works.
Most metal detectors and detectorist have the same objective.
Invest in a metal detector and it's yours, you can even tune it to get the best results.
Metal detecting is interesting.
Discussions about metal detecting are generally enjoyable and productive.
And last, but perhaps the best, at the end of the day you can turn the metal detector off.

Yep, that's true. And - I am involved in political advocating for MDing, as well as other things, more than most on here I'd guess. Look up some of my posts on TNet. But - when I put the earphones on, that's the last thing I'm thinking about.

Today's the day!

There is no P in Metal Detecting.

(unless you surf hunt)
