Metal Detecting Pranks

The guy I go hunting with is a world class prankster, you just never know what you might be in for at any given moment. Each time I dig a hole with my scoop I have to check to make sure that he's not eyeing me over his shoulder with one of those innocent grins on his face. I mean, I would never pull any pranks on him. But just in case, anyone have any really good metal detecting pranks I can use on this guy? I fear that mouse trap clamping down on his fingers only brought out the white flag for a little while.

OK, this is on the spur of the moment, so keep that in mind. I do have others, but they may get you hurt, or worse.

I think this would be funny and very annoying at the same time.. Since you guys are hunting buddies an probably have areas in mind that you want to hit. All you have to do is make a little pre-trip a few days before your hunt and buy some "treasure" for him. You just have to make sure that you direct him to the "hot" area and have yours clean for the better pickings.

Items needed
1- Crappy coins, all denominations to keep him going
2- Scraps of paper to wrap each coin in

Preparation

At home just write a few love note on each piece of paper.. Say little nothing's like "you're getting warmer", cold, hot etc.. Also keep some for yourself, as you can always say, "Yea, I finding them too". It'll surely make him wonder.

Big Scoop.....How long did it take you to find the quarter in that ball of silicone. Did you ever wonder how you found a Somoli 5 (whatever) piece in Michigans UP? And my all time favorite.. the chalk golf ball..and it was such a beautiful swing too.

Oh....now I like those brass BB'S! He really gets annyoed when things slip through the holes in his scoop! In fact, I think I even have some lead pellets around here somewhere!

Find a hubcap or large metal plate and bury it where he'll find it. The more it looks like a land mine, the better. (Paint it olive drab, stencil some official-looking serial #'s on it, etc.) You could even be nice and bring along an extra change of underwear for him....
