This is my first post -- thanks for reading. I dream of metal detecting; it's getting to be that I'll wake up with my fingers clenching an imaginary coin. I was hunting Madrid last night. lol

Any way, here's a story from today's paper, where a metal detector saved the 2008 Olympics. Here is another fine example of how I'm seeing metal detectors EVERYWHERE! Hope you get a kick out of it.

Okay, I'll post what I found today... 1883-89 (last digit is worn) Brasil 200 Reis, fastened to a silver, spiraled eight-inch-long rod, capped with a tigereye gem stone. It is apparently a handicraft iced tea or salt spoon, sold as a lovely parting gift to someone who visited Brazil, probably in the early to mid 50's. Est. Value: $12 - 20.

Welcome to TreasureNet Helmsman

Thanks for the Link to the Story

An Olympic Metal detecting team would get me watching
