Once again, we are looking for some good quality sales people to fill a need here in the showroom at Kellyco.

I figured instead of taking the employment opportunity to the newspaper and job boards, I might as well try the industry forums first since you guys and gals support us.

Kellyco Metal Detectors is looking for a few metal detectorist to fill some inside sales position in our Winter Springs Florida showroom.

There are a few requirements that we are looking for but because you are into the hobby, you probably have them... I will list them out below...

The Requirements:

* A metal detectorist with experience using metal detectors.
* Must have or have owned one or more metal detectors.
* Must have computer experience.
* Must be willing to work days, evenings and Saturdays on occasion.
* Live in the Central Florida Area so you can work in the showroom
* If you speak more than one language, great; but not a necessity. (Prefer: French, German, Arabic, Portuguese, Mandarin, or Italian)

What Kellyco has to offer:

* Great Income Opportunity
* A Comprehensive Health Care Plan
* Dental and Vision Plans
* Vacation Days, Personal Days and Paid Holidays
* 401K & Profit Sharing Plans
* Life Insurance and Disability Insurance
* Direct Payroll Deposit
* Employee Discount Programs
* Learning Opportunities
* And of course... The ability to try out any metal detectors we have available...

If this sounds interesting to you, please either PM me for more info or send your resume to dgerrell@kellycodetectors.com and I will get it to the Sales Manager.

After last winter DEC 2009 - FEB 2010 here in MD. Kept getting 6 to 18+ inches of snow, I would consider it. Do you offer relocation? Would KellyCo consider opening a store on the Eastern Shore of Maryland around where I live? No? Well maybe some day I,ll relocate. This is still tempting.

Wouldn't it be intelligent to have a few help guys located around the country for your team?

In all reality, what can a guy from Florida tell me about metal detecting in Indiana, Colorado, Maine, Texas, etc.? They really can't. Sure, they can talk about the time they detected there for a week while on vacation, but that doesn't REALLY help somebody. Yeah, I've detected quite a few salt water beaches, but there is no way I would be qualified to tell somebody what machine to get for beach hunting and why. Yes, I have my preference based upon what I use, but there needs to be more than that. What works from experience in Florida soil / sand doesn't necessarily mean it will work anywhere else in the country where there is tough soil.

I know quite a few people who have called Kellyco up on the phone and ordered a detector based on their recommendations. Many of those recommendations are downright laughable. Those machines are virtually worthless hunting here in the midwest. Yeah, they can find some clad, but that is about it. Maybe twice a month they might sniff out a silver coin as well. But at the end of the day, they bought an inferior machine based on advice that was geared at selling a machine, not having the most productive machine for their money in THEIR environment.

If I were to head out west and wanted to detect gold, I would want to hear from somebody who lives for gold hunting and knows the ins and outs of the machines best suited for gold hunting. Not what somebody can read from a sheet of paper about what the manufacturer says it can do.

I think the point of the post is Employment must live in Central Florida :dontknow:
It is what is is :laughing7:

Right, this is probably to get some Florida employment but I do agree with everyone, why just Florida?

We'd all love a job within our most loved hobby rather than slaving with our labor everyday.

Having a store in one state is way safer then a chain,especially now :headbang:

When I lived up north I wish and asked the same thing,why only Florida, now I live here in Florida and ask why only one store so far away? :help: :laughing7:

for you guys wanting to know compensation, it's a commission job, jeez that was totally visible.

you make what you can make. the better you are with many machines, the better your paycheck is gonna be.

it's a shame winter park is so far away from st pete, I'd hop on this one in a minute.
