These are the metal finds from the yard I dug two privies in. The finds are - lead button, small buckle, 1943 Mercury dime, 17D, 26, 27, 27, 48 wheat cents and a 1857 flying eagle cent. The copper piece was found on the outside of the privy wall. I didn't clean it. This is how it came out of the ground. It is pretty thin and looks to be hand formed. Could this be a Native American piece? It looks old anyway. I hope to get back to this yard and see what I missed. Thanks for looking! DD.
