🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Metal tag of some sort, need help

Dug after work today amidst a bunch of iron. I’m absolutely clueless. It obviously fit into something. The rite tab appears to be broken off. It appears to be aluminum. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks as always, have a great evening!

Could be the ID tag for the 903 transmission

All of them I've had and worked on had 903 stamped into a machined pad on the housing, not tagged.
