Probably was originally silver plated pewter spoon. On closer inspection, it might be a copper based spoon.

Being part of a spoon, my thought is pewter.

It's hard for me to tell. In the third photo it looks like pewter, but, the middle photo looks more copper. Either way, it's scrap metal IMO.:laughing7:

Can anyone id this type of metal?

I searched pewter, lead, etc with no convincing match.

IMO
Pewter .

If heavy for it's size , it's likely Brass or copper alloy.
If fairly light ,'pewter'. IMO

Old tho.

To rule in or out copper, make a small scratch on it. Copper will appear reddish in color, brass bright gold or yellow. If neither, the item is likely made of pewter.

Pewter alloys are mostly tin and have a lower melting point than lead.

Take a small sample, put it in a stainless steel spoon and hold a Bic cigarette lighter under the spoon. If the sample melts, it was pewter.
