Meteorite? It was the only rock left on the steps after the tide went out so it caught my attention.

Has rock, crystals, weight, signs of high temperature fracturing and is highly magnetic. It weighs 52.5 grams! What do you think it is? Every pebble was washed from the steps by the tide and that was just sat there perfect. I picked it straight up

If that was my find, I'd be looking to send in a piece of it for testing. That
is about the only way I know of to confirm if it is, indeed, a meteorite.

I totally agree with DizzyDigger on his suggestion ! BUT rather than sending in a piece of it for examination , I'd take it personally (hand carry ) to your closest College for a meteorologist to examine it and save some $$$ in the process , that way you can ask the person questions and answer his questions in the process ! Nice find !
