I'm calling it mexican because it's close to (on) the tex-mex border. I was walking the desert east of El Paso looking for pottery and arrowheads at a place that I knew had them. I found coins on the ground. I picked up nickels, dimes and quarters, and left the pennies lie so that I could find the spot again. All were on the surface and new (2009) coins. I went back today with my md and 8 in deep was a mason jar. I thought that I had found a cache! In the jar was a liquid with several ? crablegs ? small chilies? hard to say. There are 2 pieces of paper in the jar with a male and female name written on them. I have grown up in this area and know that there is folklore about this kind of stuff but I'm not familar with this.
