Hunted an old farm in Cooperstown ny. The owner told me that his family owned the farm for 70 years and no one has detected it. First good signal was what I thought a larger copper. Brushed it off and I see a date 1969. It's a Mexican 20 c. Found another one, a 10 and 5. Dug $1.89 in us money and a lot of junk. Get home and cleaned the penny's to see what I got and there is a civil war token. It's a thistle token. Good sign that there is still some old stuff there. Going to have to clean out a lot of junk to get the good stuff. IMG_0303.JPG IMG_0304.JPG the owner brought me to his other property and there is an old 1800 foundation there. Can't wait to go back.

Congrats on the thistle token. I bet that came as a surprise after you figured it out. Good luck with the other property to.
