but then again y'all are good ! ;D I found these two chunks of copper today in a farmfeild.My buddy found an 1809 1/2 cent and an 1815 1/2 reale in the same general area.There was alot of native American activity there as well and also a horse racing track in the late 1800's to early 1900's.The two pieces dont look like they are two parts of a whole as none of the edges line up and the one has larger grooves than the other.Any Idea's ?

The corrosion looks like it these are very old fragments of a bas relief; maybe a portion sleave or some other part of a garment.

Hey,
It looks like part of a statue or lawn ornament or even a weather vane. Horses, lions, dogs, roses etc. were popular during the Victorian times for lawn statues & weather vanes. With the folds, it could be part of the horse's mane or the robe of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of the garden and animals. Breezie

Thanks fo rthe replies y'all.I was thinking along the lines of what y'all have mentioned.I may head back to the site today if it doesent rain to hard....mabey I can find some more. :thumbsup:
