Might be my best of 2016

Well I call this one a "Trip Maker". Might be the best one I find all year have to wait and see. Went this morning as soon as I stepped out of my truck that darn wild dog was running at me from down the dirt road leading to the creek. I really dont want to shoot it even though its so darn ugly . I jumped back into my truck and watched it. Its not a Dobe it is a greyhound mixed with pitbull has a greyhound body with a pitbull head and is grey. Its one ugly dog. It has a terror with it not a puppy either. I sat in my truck as they went by heading the other way from where I was going I watched them till they got out of sight then bolted to the creek. I had my pistol on ready the whole day just in case. I was happy to find this point I also found a piece of a Celt and some tools. It was a good day in Georgia today. HH, rock

Now that's one interesting point and a curved base too, beautiful material it's made of. All the others are great finds and a rim piece with nice markings makes it a good day all around! well minus the doggies lol

That point is made of some really nice material and is a great find. Told you in an earlier post "You never know what your next find will be" or something like that. Nice point! Glad you pulled a good one. Now, I need to find a point worth posting.

Yes it has been over a month which equals to 8-9 trips before finding this beauty. Each trip at least 4 hours by the way. I dont always post what I find unless it is a nice piece. Finally a good trip.
Im thinking Adena narrow stem on the point unless somebody else has a better idea?

very nice finds Rock! If you found that one there has to be more in the area. Maybe the rain you're getting will wash one out for you. Love the pottery piece. Must have been a lot of mad squaws in your area to have so much broken pottery.....what do you think

The rim section is a new one for me on design and its interesting also due to the light spot on it kind of a circle it looks like a handle was on it. On the dogs the big one was so skinny I think next time I might take some dog treats for him. Might end up being a friend after that. I think I will call him Rover.

Thanks everybody, the point will probably be the most colorful one I find this year but I sure hope to find more points. Been kind of slow this year compared to last year.
