Might Be My Last Lake Hunt for Awhile

The lake hasn't been a good producer (for me, at least) this summer, so I might not bother anymore until next summer.

Today's hunt

Were you just hunting the beach above the water or in the water. I have no knowledge about that lake. Most lakes in Florida are hunted from the shore to your shoulders. I used a long handled scoop and a tote float screen box, 18” square with pool noodles for floatation. This is my 3rd one since 1978. What the first thing a woman does when exiting the water? Shaking the water off her hands, got a loose ring, gone.

I hunt the dry sand and to my chin in the water.

Currently due to a neurological neuropathy, I limit myself to driving 50 miles out and 50 miles in. The illness robs me of my energy. If someone needs a location to metal detect, leave city & state and I’ll see what I can do. Parks are largely off limits by City managers due to dirty diggers, leaving visible holes and trash found. Curbs strips are the new hunt areas, there are miles of them.
