Military button? Id help please

My neighbor found this old button behind his house. Anyone help me ID this for me

Looks like a old U.S. Airforce button to me.
Maybe from around the 1950's

Yeah I did finally find it on here in another post...Waterbury Airforce button made in NY...still not sure of a date though...I guess they made them over a long period of time. Thank you!

If it is gilt, it would date 1947-1949, Silver plated ones date from 1949 to present.
