Any ideas as to what it is. About the size a a quarter.

I have to admit to being completely unfamiliar with that combination, though I see that they worked with the coastal artillery, which I'm familiar with.

Where did he serve? My father was also Coast Artillery on the island of Corregidor, PI in 1941.

Hi, I'm Toothpicks friend. Thanks for the info. I am just starting to investigate my dads world war 2 service in the army. I know he started at Fort Miles DE, and then ended up in the Philippines. He passed away in 1982 so I am contacting the rest of the family trying to reconstruct what he did.
