Many of you are familiar with Van Q, the injured Iraq War Army veteran, who ran Milspecgear for several years--I am pretty sure that it no longer in operation. A couple of years ago, I convinced Van to make me a custom carrying case for my Minelab CTX3030, which he did. It is a beautiful case, top quality, and built with military spec materials. The trouble is I have only used the case to store my CTX3030 in the closet--this top-quality case should be getting some use out in the field.

Part of my problem is that I often ride to the beach on my bike to detect. I can't take this beautiful $300 case, because there is no way to absolutely secure it from theft--it is worth more than my bike! I have decided to see if there is someone interested in buying this custom, possibly one-of-a-kind case.

I am going to try to attach photos of the case, which fits the CTX3030 perfectly with the 11" inch coil is on. I worked with Van on the specifications, which he filled perfectly. There is a full length military grade zipper that runs the entire top edge of the case. Both sides have a high grade foam padding installed--there are Velcro openings on both sides of the case to facilitate the replacement of the padding if this was ever needed. There is an outside pocket which fits the small CTX3030 coil perfectly. There is a nice, long, adjustable shoulder strap on one side, as well as handles on the top. I forget the exact specifications of the material that the case is made from--it is the same high quality material that all of the Milspecgear items were made of, in a camouflage design. The buckles, straps, zippers, and zipper pulls are all top-notch military specifications--this case will likely last longer than you will.

Again, I am only selling this beautiful case because I am not using it. It has sat in a dark, cool closet for two+ years. It is designed for someone who goes into the field with their CTX3030; someone who needs the protection this sturdy case will provide. It is not a case for sissies, that's for sure.

The selling price of $300 is exactly what I paid for it. I don't know if Milspecgear made more than one of these or not, but it is a great investment for an owner of a CTX3030. The price of the sturdy, well padded case is minimal compared to your investment in your detector. I am willing to split the postage for the case--it shouldn't be that much, as the case is fairly light weight when empty. My bottom line is to find someone who will get some use out of the sturdy, high quality construction that was used to handcraft this carrying case--sitting in my closet isn't doing anyone any good.

this would work for me since I travel to the beach or any detecting site via my truck and I can lock down the bed no problem.

I'll send you a PM.
