Anyone with suggestions on a good repair place for a Minelab Explorer SE would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Big E

Have you contacted Minelab USA? I believe they only have a couple of places authorized to make repairs.

The only one's that can make Minelab repairs is Minelab … They will not let any one have parts to do repairs … So you have to go to Minelab…..

Mine Lab – Customer Service / Tech help – 888 – 949- 6522

I'll admit, they used to be terrible for customer service. Now they opened a new shop in Chicago area and they have turned it around 100%.

Kellyco is an authorized Minelab repair center too....

I had mine repaired about a month ago at their Chicago area repair center. I sent it out, they called me 2 days later to tell me they received it and the tech repair person would call me. He called a few days later (it was Thanksgiving weekend) and told me what he thought was the problem. I received the CTX 3030 back a few days later and it has worked perfectly. As a matter of fact, I found an early copper and 4 pieces of silver within a couple of hours of turning it on. It has performed flawlessly since. One note, I didn't include the charger when I sent the detector in. I should have. The tech also thought it might be a battery problem and it would have been good to send the charger. I would send everything, headphones included if you send it out for repair. The only drawback of the hole issue was the first time I was on hold for 15 minutes which drives me nuts. My advice, if you don't get to talk to someone in the first 2 minutes, hang up and call back in an hour.

Sounds like you received good service though.

Kellyco ,has 2 brothers that know there repairs. They repaired my minelab 1000 in 5 days and it's working well.

I have met the VP of Minelab and they do a great job. Ask for the tech named Brian. He knows his stuff.

Better hope you're still under warranty if you have a serious issue (main board problem) because if not you will be new detector shopping.
