Minelabs Warranty? Are they good at taking care of their customers?

When i purchased my E-trac, it was 3 months old making me the second owner. After a couple months it started making erratic sounds and nothing was reading right. I called minelab and told them what was going on. They verified the serial number and gave me an Address and name to ship it to. They told me to ship the entire unit back. Within two weeks i had my machine back good as new. Turns out the coil was bad so they replaced it. I payed for the shipping to the service center and the service center paid for the return shipping. Over all....an outstanding experience. Just know this. You have to call minelab first. They in turn will give you a return authorization number that has to be with the unit before it gets fixed.

I hear several people complain about the minelab customer service and I've had nothing but good things to say about them. I'm not the original owner of my etrac but when I call them they have told me anything I've ever asked them and then some. If you don't like the customer service or can't understand life events, holidays, or natural disasters then go somewhere else it's that simple. For me I would rather deal with someone via email that way I have proof of what is said and my emails are usually always answered within the day can't ask for better than that

You do not have to have an RMA number to have detector worked on. RMA is important for warranty work to track repairs under warranty but is not a requirement for non warranty work....
