This is a thin, stamped, copper or brass plate found at a 100 year old home site. It has a small rivet-like piece mounted in the center of the slots. It's possible that it originally slid in those slots. I'm afraid to try now as it's pretty fragile. It has three round holes that were maybe used for mounting? The right lower edge has a chunk missing. If it was like the left lower edge, it has a 90 degree bend with a tab sticking down an 1/8" or so.
