I thought I'd post this years finds here .
Not a lot of silver but these coins came from different worked out parks that I have detected over the years with a DFX and many others have detected .
I found these with the E-TRAC and I don't think any other detector could have found them because of the soil conditions in the area the coins were found in except the half dollar.
1957 Roosevelt dime found at the Oronoco,Mn.ball park at the Oronoco park.
Herb Vic park ,Mazeppa ,Mn. 1943-D Merc and 1954 Rosy
and 2 Wheats 1944 & 1945
1917 Merc at Quarry Hill park
Also not pictured are 1918,1920 & 2 ,1936 Wheates.
1897 Barber Dime and 1908 Indian Head Cent found at Saint Mary's Park, Rochester,Mn.
The Indian Head Cent was 12 inches deep.
1899 Barber Dime and a Good for 5 cents token with 874 on the other side. Poor condition and was a gaming token.
Found at Kutzky Park north of 11th.ave.N.W.
I detected real slow and these coins weren't very deep just something masking them.
And my best find of the year was the 1914 Barber Half Dollar, key date I sold on ebay for $96.00. Found at Quarry Hill Park. Their was a pop can and 3 feet away was another load sound in the head set. I really hate to say this but I could see these targets had been dug before. I could see dig marks and I think it was mine from a few years back. Those halves and silver dollars can fool ya sometimes.
I put in a lot of time detecting these places and I would still think their is some coins their.
Happy hunting in Minnesota .
