Any follow-up articles that discuss their success, or failure? Sounds almost like they knew exactly where they were going, and where to dig.
 
If this is all true , someone has to have copy's of those maps and paper's ! Some relative has those papers hidden or stored away in some chest of other things of their late relative ! What a great movie / book this would make !

well there is no Kinnikinnick River in Flemings County Kentucky. There is a Kinnickinnic River in Wisconsin.

perhaps the writer meant Kinniconick Creek in Flemings County.
So two places
at ther very beginning of the creek

I think the treasure chest of gold and silver is still there.
 
They did call Creeks Rivers a Lot back then :coffee2:
