Had a little time this morning and hit a spot close to the house near Richmond Va. Ground was in great shape after the recent snow/rain. First find to speak of was the “ancient” Roman buckle. Anyone have any ideas what it is…….assuming civilian, but not very lady like. Then some horse tack, a few horseshoes, a tongue off a buckle and a lead disk. Normally I’d call that a bag seal, but can find no writing/marks in the item. Also found a brass top with milk glass inside. Last was the best, in my opinion, and a first for me. Says “JCC London 1891” it’s silver. Guessing it was part of a small pocket watch, but don’t know what the two loops at the top were for. Open to suggestions.
