I am not a new member, having joined in 2005, but I did recently return after a long absence.
Trouble is, my profile does not seem to work properly.
There is almost no information, and when I click on edit, I still cannot access anything. When a member posts a link in their post, I cannot access
the link. Nothing happens when I click.
Is this because I am not a paid member yet?
Also, what are the other member categories? I have seen multiple sorts of members here, such as Hero Member. What categories exist and how does one qualify?

however, your being a paying member or not does not stop you from the actions you want
the only category that means anything is charter, which gives you some perks and the satisfaction of supporting the site
