Mom, dogs, flowers, and me

My mother is 77 years young and was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer. These pics were taken within the last week, as I had stayed with her for a week. 4 days earlier she had a 2 day chemo treatment and has to have someone with her at all times. So, the 5 of us kids have been taking turns staying with her. She is feisty, stubborn, funny, loving, and fulla (as she says) piss and vinegar! Gotta love a mom like that :icon_sunny:

. She says she will beat this nasty bug, and you know what, she will :hello2:

. Ever since I started shaving what little hair I have left, she says I make her look old, so with that in mind, she wanted to see what I looked like with a full head of hair. The cocker that is brown and white is hers and her name is Hannah, and the all brown one is my sister's, and his name is Andy (he was visiting). Mom's cocker also has cancer (of the mouth) and is a 4 year survivor (so far). Mom has a whole backyard of many different flower gardens. Angel garden, G'kids garden, Gnome garden, butterfly garden, etc etc. She always asks me to bring my camera when I come over, as something is always in its peak of blooming, and she loves the pictures I put on her computer for her. And she knows that I post them here too. But can't remember the site's url. Oh well, so much for our memories. Anyway, if it looks good, take a picture, it will last longer.........NGE P.S. Also, I can't remember the names of all the flowers, because mom couldn't remember either ::)

You'rea a great son to look after your Mom. Lost mine a few years ago and miss her every day. My three sisters and I took turns taking care of her and staying with her. It wasn't too easy but I wouldn't trade those times for the world.
Great pics-especially you with the wig on. Look just like your Mom!!

NGE..... I sincerely hope that your Mother makes a full recovery from her illness. Please pass on my message, and also say what a beautiful garden she has. I see Hydrangeas......lots of different varieties of Lillies.......Honeysuckle, and lots more. She obviously has green fingers, and tending her garden will surely keep her in good spirit. Thank you for posting such lovely pictures.

Everytime I go visit her, she sends me home with seeds, root stock, tubers, and bulbs. I never tell her that I am running out of places to plant these things. So I share them with my neighbor. Shortly after she has a chemo treatment, she can't go out in the full sun for about a week and a half, she can only work at night or on very cloudy days. I am going to go back and cut her Iris' down and trim her maple out front much better. Thanks for the well wishes, I will show these messages to her on her computer.........NGE

Good pics. I recognize the spider wort and the honeysuckle (heavenly odor). Your mom might outlive all of us. Tell her me and Maria said Hi and are cheering for her. I like that pic of you and Andy.
