monster meteorite

Maybe somebody can help me figure out on how much this might be worth? It is as big as softball but sort of flat.

A recent meteor shower put some pieces on the ground in the california gold country, collectors were on hand with cash and were paying $1,000.00 an ounce. But that was for a specific type of meteor with a burned crust. How do you tell if it is a meteorite? it looks alot like iron slag I find diving.
