Montana token found, what is a skigger?

Found this token today, pretty cool. Does anyone know what a skigger is?

i asked a knowledgeable collector and here's his reply ---

"A skigger was a "premium" token. Tokens were given away to customers when they made a purchase. The tokens were used to "buy" special premium merchandise, similar to the way green stamps were used a few decades ago..."
