Today I went to hunt the place that I found the handle of a silver spoon from 1856 and the bronze statue at. I hunted it for three hours and these are my finds:
The first good find was found probably one and a half hour after I started to detect. It is a heavy lead button or lead cloth seal with clothing still attached on it:
After that find I walked into some deeper woods and found a small bronze shirt button:
A few meters away from the button was a lead bag seal with the inscriptions '* A B J B S'. I have no idea what it has been used for but in this newspaper text: Digitaliserade svenska dagstidningar , it somewhere says 'abjbs' but I can't seem to find it.
After those finds I decided to go to a place only about 100 meters away from the field where it had been rumors of a treasure buried here for hundreds of years. But the archaeologists thought that it was a myth in the 80's. It is basically a huge hill about 15 meters high. I think it's a big rock that was moved in the Ice Age. On the way while walking towards the place I found the cap of a bronze cigar box:
And while detecting on the mountain I also found a bullet from 1891. It's my first 1800's bullet with a date on it. The ground on that mountain was so shallow that the bullet almost layed on top of the ground. These were also my mystery finds of the day, if you recognize an item please let me know:
And here's some pottery and glass that layed in some holes I also found:
After I've detected here a lot this place feels really strange. I have not found a single coin or buckle and only one button and lead bag seal along with lot's of other varying finds like brooches, a statue, a silver spoon and other uncommon stuff dating from the 1800's. I'm going back to this place in a few days to find more information and strange items in this location and maybe take some photos for you guys to see so wish me luck and happy hunting!
